Stenciled Polka-Dot End Table

This little table was so fun to do! I really love how DecoArt's chalky finish paint goes on! If you are looking for a quick project, this is a great choice. Read below for my how-to instructions!

Supplies:

Americana Decor Chalky Finish Paint:

  • Everlasting (ADC01)
  • Victorian (ADC42)
  • Americana Decor® Stencils
  • Ikat Polka Dot (12" x 12") (ADS17)

Other supplies:

  • water container
  • palette or plastic plate
  • paper towels
  • sandpaper
  • painter's tape (optional)
  • cosmetic sponge (or stenciling brush)
  • clean cloth (lint-free)
  • end table
  • paintbrushes

Instructions:

1. Sand any areas of the table that are rough or damaged and wipe down with a lint-free cloth to remove any dirt.

2. Paint the table with Victorian. Be sure to let dry in between coats.

3. Mix Victorian with a touch of Everlasting to make a light purple shade. Line up the Ikat Polka Dot stencil so that the center row of dots makes a diagonal line across the table. Tape or hold the stencil in place and fill in the stencil with the light purple mix using a cosmetic sponge or stenciling brush. Remove and reposition the stencil and repeat. (For this table, four rows were done.)
